SAP Business One 10 – Enhanced Usability
The eagerly anticipated version, SAP Business One 10.0, is packed with exciting features and platform enhancements. We continue our series exploring what it offers to users worldwide.
What’s New in SAP Business One 10.0
The main focus of SAP Business One 10.0 is ease of use, cost efficiency, and the ability to operate on the cloud — the most striking aspects of the new version. The SAP team aims to deliver higher availability, improved security, and stronger platform stability while offering more practical and cost-effective models.
More User-Friendly Screens: Enhanced Usability
With its new and modern appearance, SAP Business One 10.0 introduces the new Belize Deep theme in the desktop application, inspired by SAP Fiori and powered by SAP UI5 technology. The Fiori-style cockpit is now available to users with its updated design.
The improvements in usability brought by Version 10.0 are not limited to a modern UX (User Experience) redesign of the desktop interface. The user interface (UI) itself has also been enhanced with new functions. For example, features like “Resize/Maximize Form” make it easier to work with and switch between multiple windows at once. Similarly, the “Hide Tab” feature allows you to reduce the toolbar at the top of the screen to expand your workspace when not in use.
In previous versions, the SAP Business One window could not be resized or adjusted. In Version 10, you can now set the screen display size for menus, so you don’t need to scroll to view all information.
Additionally, the “User Name” and “Company Name” are now displayed at the top center of the SAP Business One screen. You can open the “Select Company” window with a single click to switch between company databases and users, allowing you to access and work with company databases anytime.
Some of the new usability features in SAP Business One 10.0 are designed to improve transparency. Through the “User Name in License Administration” and “User Name in Add-On Administration” functions, the link between the system and user identity has become more transparent. This enables license and Add-On management on a per-user basis.
